Creative DNA Map

What if we could write back on our cells?

ElBulli restaurant worked around the idea of its Gastronomic Creative DNA for several years in order to synthesize, organize and recombine its own essential language as cellular information in order to create dishes, to conceive experiences.

I have been obsessed with this idea since I first heard of it, and a few months ago, while trying to find myself a new path to follow, I decided to create my own Creative DNA Map. In order to know, in order to land concepts on a unique diagram that could define what I am looking for.

Gathering words, concepts and passions, and inspired by primary school cellular diagrams, I ended up finding myself related to some kind of meiosis. An identity meiosis that could produce transversal relations between my interests and my abilities, as a way to learn through, and follow curiosity.

I translated the nucleus, nucleolus, Rough ER, ribosomes and organelles into words and elements to relate them to each other. I placed language as my cellular membrane to embrace all these ideas, and I tried to associate a direct interaction between the two dividing cells: the mindsets and the toolsets.

As a result a simple body with complex relations, that is what we all are. An identity I have wanted to draw today that meiosis will recombine and transform tomorrow.

Yes, it is multiple, no, it is not disperse.
