the behavior of sunflowers
In early August, the fields are awash with yellow and the sunflower heads are bursting with seeds ready for harvest. Where the machine cannot reach – on the edges – there is always a sunflower left unharvested which, having soaked up the sun, ends its life as summer draws to a close.
